## What is OpenClaw?

OpenClaw is an open-source, self-hosted AI agent — software you run on your own Mac Mini, Raspberry Pi, or VPS so your conversations and automations stay under your control. clawdbot.space is an independent, community-driven resource hub for the OpenClaw ecosystem. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the OpenClaw project or its creators.

Our content is created by a small team of developers, sysadmins, and AI enthusiasts who run OpenClaw on real hardware. Every tutorial has been tested on actual devices. Every troubleshooting guide solves a problem we've actually encountered. Every review reflects months of daily usage of the OpenClaw agent.

## Our Mission

We started clawdbot.space in early 2026 because the OpenClaw community was growing faster than documentation could keep up. New users were asking the same questions on Reddit and Discord: How do I install this on Ubuntu? Why is Ollama so slow? How do I keep my WhatsApp session alive? We wanted to build a single place where those answers lived permanently, in multiple languages, with clear step-by-step instructions.

Our mission is to make self-hosted AI accessible to everyone — whether you're a curious beginner who's never touched a terminal, a developer looking to automate your workflow, or a sysadmin deploying OpenClaw for your team. We believe privacy-first, locally-hosted AI agents represent the future of personal computing, and that future should not be gated behind technical complexity.

## Our Principles

Every piece of content on this site follows three principles:

1. Accuracy First

We test every command, verify every configuration, and update guides when software changes. If something is outdated, we mark it clearly.

2. No Paywalls

All editorial content is free and will remain free. Site operations may be supported by non-intrusive display advertising via Google AdSense — never by paywalled guides.

3. Transparency

We are upfront about our independence from the official project and about advertising on this site. We credit sources, link to official docs, and correct errors publicly.
