Three small-business accounts across four platforms is twelve content calendars, a few hundred DMs a week and a reporting cycle that eats every Friday. Most of that work is repetitive rather than creative. This build automates the repetitive half — drafting, scheduling, monitoring, reporting — and draws an explicit line the agent may not cross: it never publishes, and it never answers a complaint.
The Content Treadmill
3 businesses × 4 platforms (IG, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter) = 12 accounts. 36+ posts/week, 200+ DMs/day, weekly reports for each client. Burnout was imminent.
Architecture
OpenClaw connects to social APIs via Buffer for scheduling, monitors DMs through the platform APIs, and generates reports from analytics data. All interaction happens through Slack.

Lessons Learned
Voice profiles are everything
Generic AI posts are obvious. Spending 2 hours crafting each client's voice profile in IDENTITY.md paid off 100x. Include specific words to use and avoid, emoji patterns, and sentence length preferences.
Never auto-post, always auto-draft
OpenClaw generates drafts in Buffer. I review and approve each one. This takes 15 min/day instead of 3 hours creating from scratch, and ensures brand safety.
DM auto-response needs clear boundaries
Auto-respond to: hours, location, booking links, stock checks. NEVER auto-respond to: complaints, pricing negotiations, partnership requests. One bad auto-response can undo months of brand building.
Analytics insights → conversation starters
The Monday reports aren't just data — they're conversation starters with clients. 'Your video content gets 3.2x engagement' leads to 'how about we do a cooking series?' — and upsells.
